Dan McCarthy attended Arizona State University where he received a BS in
Justice Studies in 1986. He then attended the University of Arizona College of
Law where he received his JD (cum laude) in 1990.
Admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1990, Dan practices in Arizona Superior Court,
Arizona appellate courts, the United States District Court for the District of
Arizona, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His areas of
practice include many types of civil and insurance litigation such as general
negligence cases, product liability claims, premises liability claims, insurance
coverage disputes, bad-faith litigation, UM and UIM claims, and civil appeals.
Some of appellate cases in which Dan has been involved include: Desert Golf Cars
v. Yamaha Motor Co., 198 Ariz. 103, 7 P.3d 112 (App. 2000); Colorado Cas. Ins.
Co. v. Safety Control Co., 230 Ariz. 560, 288 P.3d 764 (App. 2012); Johnson v.
Pointe Community Ass’n, 205 Ariz. 485, 73 P.3d 616 (App. 2001); State ex rel.
Fox v. New Phoenix Auto Auction, Ltd. 185 Ariz. 302, 915 P.2d 492 (App. 1996);
Payan v. Linden Pearce Constr., Inc., 2008 WL 4173238 (Ariz. App. 2008); and
Meyer v. Lee Collins Air Conditioning Co., 2008 WL 2154708 (Ariz. App. 2008).
